Our C4ISTAR skills

Lockheed Martin UK - Integrated Systems & Solutions has an international reputation for providing technical, operational and project management support to public and private sector clients who are acquiring or updating complex C4ISTAR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance) Systems.

Realistically, no major C4ISTAR programme is problem-free. Equipment delivery often takes place many years after specifications have been frozen, and a host of issues will have arisen in the intervening years. It is far more cost effective to identify and solve these problems early in the programme than to discover them once the equipment has been produced.

Firm management, based on consistent and accurate technical advice, is essential to ensure that the Customer is provided with a system that meets his current requirements, keeps pace with technological advances and can be developed incrementally to achieve his future needs, cost-effectively.

Lockheed Martin UK - Integrated Systems & Solutions consultants are key members of numerous C4ISTAR programmes for the UK MOD and many foreign Defence Ministries, either directly, or through participation with international companies. In short, we act as the ‘Customer’s Friend’ and support the whole acquisition process including:

  • Architecture Framework Modelling.
  • Capability, User and System Requirements Analysis. Capture and Validation.
  • Interoperability Assurance.
  • Information Management.
  • Operational Analysis.
  • Investment Appraisals.
  • Procurement and Acquisition Strategies.
  • Tender Preparation and Assessment.
  • Implementation Contractor Monitoring.
  • Through-life Project Management.

We never propose ‘stovepiped’ solutions, and always provide pragmatic advice to help Customers achieve a Network Enabled Capability within the joint and combined military arena.
