Lockheed Martin UK - Integrated Systems & Solutions provides a wide range of consultancy support services to both military and civilian Customers engaged in the acquisition of new capabilities or enhancements to existing systems. We are able to support our Customers in the areas of:
- Formal programme approvals, including the preparation of Business Cases, Procurement Strategies and Whole Life Costing studies for Initial and Main Gate submissions.
- Capability and Requirements Management, including requirements capture, analysis and validation, and linkages to Configuration Management.
- Project Management, based on the PRINCE 2 approach, to ensure compliance with policy and coherence between technical, commercial and financial aspects.
- Through Life Management, including the preparation of Through Life Management Plans and the creation of formal linkages between the phases of the CADMID cycle.
- Business and Technical Strategy, Process Modelling and process development.
- System-of-systems performance measurement, identifying capability shortfalls and prioritising areas for improvement across all Lines of Development (LoD).
- Mandatory Functional Safety and System Security requirements.
Lockheed Martin UK - Integrated Systems & Solutions offers independent advice to MOD Customers, and can provide expert opinion on the health of programmes - in terms of performance, time and cost – thus fulfilling an essential programme assurance role on behalf of the Board (or Steering Group). Furthermore, in-depth skills are available within the Company, in conjunction with Acquisition Support, to conduct reviews and audits on system contractors, particularly in the areas of Concepts and Doctrine, C4ISTAR process definition, communications infrastructures and interoperability.
Our consultants have extensive knowledge and experience, most having held a number of senior and directly relevant positions within the MOD. Consequently, we are able to deliver services to the MOD with the minimum of familiarisation and Customer guidance, a high level of commitment, and a full appreciation of the policy constraints and staffing issues within the MOD.
